Welcome to the Grants & Funded Programs Office
The goals and action plans of the district grant programs, both entitlement and discretionary, embody the expectation that all students will learn at high levels, and that schools will receive vitally needed supplemental resources ensuring opportunity for student, staff, and parent/community success.
The performance goals, priorities, and action steps of Trenton's Annual School Plans (ASP) and School Wide Programs (SWP) are aligned to the District Academic Plan, Regional Assessment Center (RAC) Turnaround Principles, as well as the ESEA Consolidated No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Program goals that address the purpose from the currently authorized Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), 2001, to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and State academic assessments.
EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA)
Our Trenton Public Schools are preparing Title I Schoolwide Program Plans under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) guidelines. Schools are surveying and assessing needs as 2024-25 plans are designed to improve teaching, learning and services to our families and community.
