Liberty Science Center is a great place to spend a day with educational and fun activities.
Learn about science, watch an Imax film on the world's largest projection screen, or see a 3-D movie at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. Liberty Science Center has four stories of exhibits dedicated to science. It includes many demonstrations and hands-on activities relating to science. Nearby in Liberty State Park there's a walking path along the Hudson River that affords great views of the New York City skyline, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. The latter two can be accessed by boat from the park (with tickets)
Liberty Science Center can be a bit expensive, but they offer free community evenings for families from former Abbot school districts (This includes Trenton.) April 20th and May 18th are remaining for this school year. Be sure to bring ID (Drivers license, report cards, etc.) to verify that you live in Trenton.
Go to their website: http://lsc.org/for-educators/community-evenings/ for further information on this program.
