Master Board Certification

The Trenton Public School District is proud to announce the Trenton Board of Education has satisfied all requirements to receive the Carole E. Larsen Master Board Certification (MBC) through the NJSBA Board Member Academy (BMA). 


The Carole E. Larsen Master Board Certification is awarded in recognition of high-performing boards. The board must provide evidence to demonstrate an emphasis on student achievement in their board actions. To earn the Carole E. Larsen Master Board Certification, a currently Certified board within the first two years of earning its certification, must also complete at least 10 additional hours of training for a total of 26 board credits.


The district congratulates BOE members Gene Bouie, Addie Daniels-Lane, Deniece Johnson, Jeannie Weakliem, Austin Edwards, Esq., Sasa Olessi Montaño, Larry Traylor, BOE Vice President Gerald Truehart, and BOE President Yolanda Marrero-Lopez on being a part of the master board.

The Trenton Board of Education was acknowledged at the Mercer County Board of Education Meeting on Nov. 21. This meeting was held in the TBOE Ellis Auditorium at 108 N. Clinton Ave. Trenton, New Jersey.
