The Office of Early Childhood is excited to announce that preschool enrollment will open citywide on May 1, 2026. Trenton Public Schools offers free, high-quality, full-day preschool for children ages 3 and 4 who reside in the City of Trenton.
To support families during the enrollment process, the district will host a Preschool Fair on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 4:15 to 7 p.m. at 108 North Clinton Ave. Families will have the opportunity to meet preschool staff, learn about full-day preschool options and get support with registration.
Our preschool programs provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children build early learning skills, develop friendships and prepare for kindergarten success. With certified teachers, hands-on learning experiences and a strong focus on early development, children receive a strong foundation at no cost to families.
Families are encouraged to contact their preferred preschool location directly to schedule an appointment, as space is limited and fills quickly. For more information and a list of locations, visit www.trentonk12.org.
If you have concerns about your child’s development, families may also contact the district to request an evaluation for preschool special education services.
