Parent Power is part of the Trenton Public Schools Parent Connect Series and features volunteer attorneys providing families with information on child custody and power of attorney. The session is designed to help parents and guardians understand how to designate a trusted individual to temporarily care for their child if an emergency occurs.
On-site notary services will be available to assist families with completing power of attorney documents. For children under joint custody, both parents must be present. Participants should bring a government-issued photo ID and the designee’s full name and permanent address.
The event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the TBOE Building, Ellis Auditorium, 108 N. Clinton Ave., Trenton.
