Unlike obituaries on the newspapers and websites, District's sympathy email announcements are brief and contain the minimum and necessary information only.

- A District employee who lost an immediate family member.
- Or a work colleague authorized to provide the information on his/her behalf.

Someone's spouse, parent, grandparent, children, grandchildren, adopted children, step-parents/step-children, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, mother in law, father in law, brother in law, sister in law, daughter in law, sons in law.
