Virtual College Fair

Mercer County Community College is sponsoring a virtual college fair and information session. Participating institutions include TCNJ and Mercer County Community Colleges, William Paterson, Kean, and Rider Universities. Please post the attached flyer in your Google Classroom and encourage your senior students to attend; Registration is easy, simply scan the barcode in the attached flyer.

2020 Scholarship Opportunities Information

Jean Roane Harris Scholarship 

The Jean Roane Harris Scholarship Award provides a scholarship to promising local high school students to pursue highereducation. The Trenton/Mercer chapter is fully dedicated to supporting the secondary education of deserving youth by providing financial assistance to both high school and college students who will be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree at any accredited two or four-year college or university. ETS–Trenton Central High School Scholarship Program

The ETS–Trenton Central High School (TCHS) Scholarship Program recognizes and aids talented graduating seniors who have a desire to attend college. Recipients of this scholarship are those who can provide evidence of a high level of academic achievement, strong community engagement and demonstrated school leadership throughout their high school years. The scholarship provides financial aid to attend a two- or four-year accredited, not-for-profit postsecondary institution of the student’s choice. Recipients attending a two-year community college will receive $5,000 in two payments ($2,500 per semester), while those attending a four-year institution will receive $10,000 in two payments ($5,000 per semester). ETS will award a maximum of $30,000 in scholarships per academic year.  Click here for more information

Greater Trenton Writing and Communications Scholarship Program

The Greater Trenton Writing and Communications Scholarship Program will be awarded to two (2) High School Seniors in Trenton who best meet the requirements set forth by Greater Trenton’s Scholarship Committee. Following the successful completion of a paid internship program at Greater Trenton beginning this coming Summer, each awardee will receive a $1,500 scholarship to be used toward college. Click here for application

Epsilon Upsilon Omega Chapter

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women in 1908 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. The women who organized the Sorority were conscious of their privileged position as college-educated women of color. 

Epsilon Upsilon Omega Chapter was chartered in 1952 by 18 visionary and phenomenal women. Since its chartering, the Trenton chapter has been a trailblazer in providing exemplary public service initiatives and progressive programs to address community needs. During its 68 years, the chapter has established a legacy of meaningful community service.

The Ivy League Educational Foundation, Inc., is an I. R. C. § 501(c)(3) charitable organization which was formed in 2002 by members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Upsilon Omega Chapter. The Foundation’s mission is to promote scholarship and community service in the greater Trenton community. The Foundation and the Chapter have held numerous fundraisers for scholarships. 

Annual Foundation scholarship awards are for at least $1,000 and are for one year. Book awards in the amount of $500 may also be awarded for one year. Click here for application

2020 Distinguished Student Scholarship 

Greetings! We are pleased to extend to you an opportunity to highlight and share your academic and extra-curricular achievements with other outstanding young men in Mercer County through the Scholarship Program hosted by S.C.O.R.E. (Sigma Community Out Reach and Empowerment, Inc.) in partnership with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. ~ Lambda Lambda Sigma Alumni Chapter.  The program shall award three (3) Distinguished Student Awards this year. You are eligible to apply if you are (1) a graduating high school senior and (2) planning to enroll into a community college and/or university for the Fall Semester of 2020. Scholarship recipients will be acknowledged on June 20, 2020 at our annual Father’s Day Brunch. All scholarship applications must be mailed and postmarked by Friday, May 22, 2020. TRENTON - The Smith Family Foundation and the Trenton Board of Education proudly announce the inaugural Legacy Scholarship. The Legacy Scholarship is a need-based four year scholarship available to Trenton Central High School graduates. The scholarship will grant one student from the TCHS graduating class a $10,000 scholarship, renewable yearly, for each of the first four years of the student's post-secondary education. The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. (NPHC) is a coalition of the nine largest historically African American Greek-letter fraternities and sororities, currently representing over 1.5 million members internationally. The NPHC was organized on May 10, 1930 on the campus of Howard University. The activities of the local NPHC chapter in Mercer County, recognized as the Mercer Regional Pan Hellenic Council, have been impactful to the communities we serve especially in the areas of Education, Economics, Social Action, Political Empowerment, and Health. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The organization is a sisterhood of predominantly Black, college educated women. The sorority currently has over 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, and abroad. Trenton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a non-profit organization that provides assistance and support through established programs in Mercer County. Book Awards- Each year, the Trenton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. raises thousands of dollars to provide deserving students with book awards in order to promote the advancement of higher education. Click here for application.

Class of 2020 Yearbooks:

As of right now, yearbook sales online are closed. There will be a limited amount for sale “off the truck.” The cost of the at the time of purchase is $90, and the student will take the book right when they pay.

 

Student, if you have a balance to pay, please call Jostens @ 1-877-767-5217, or you may also opt to pay your balance at the time of pick up. If you are unsure about your balance amount, please email Ms. Ruggiano at bruggiano@trenton.k12.nj.us for confirmation of balances.
