Q: Is Preschool Programming being cut?

A: No, there are no cuts to the budget of Early Childhood or Special Education programming. No programs or services are being eliminated or reduced.


Q: Will teachers be certified?

A: Yes, all teachers and staff will be certificated. All Early Childhood teachers are required to hold a P-3 certification. All Preschool Special Education Teachers are required to hold P-3 and special education certifications. 


Q: Will my preschool disabled child lose their services?

A: No. Every child will continue to receive all educational and related services consistent with their IEPs.


Q: Will the school hours change for my preschool disabled child?

A: No, the school hours will remain the same. However, with the relocation to community provider sites, families will be provided with opportunities for before and after care. Those hours will start as early as 7:30am in the morning and as late at 5:30 pm at varying provider locations.


Q: Where can I find a list of the provider sites contracted with the District?

A: It can be found at the district website.


Q: Will my preschool disabled child still receive transportation?

A: As mandated in each child’s IEP, special education students will still receive transportation services to and from their educational programs. Transportation services will not be provided for before and/or after care.


Q: What resources will be available during this transition?

A: The District looks forward to further communications with our parents and community including open houses, access to updated information, and individual conferences.


Q: Can I pick my provider site?

A:  Parents will have input on provider sites based upon availability.

A:  For Early Childhood enrollment, please contact the hotline at (609) 656-4900 ext. 5667 for program availability Monday and Wednesday 9:00- 12:00 and 1:30 – 3:00. Translation support is available.
